Need Your Transcript?

Just follow the steps below!

Or, go right to the form, if you already know what you need.

Step 1: Pick the type of transcript you need:

Most Common:

Official transcripts list the student’s courses and credits, and bear WCFS’s seal and Registrar signature.

Official transcripts are sent by WCFS directly to the requesting institution either in a sealed and initialed envelope, or via our official ‘admin’ email address, or through an official third party document service, such as Parchment or the Common App.

In most cases, official transcripts fully satisfy US college admission, military, and employment requirements.

For Personal Use:

Unofficial transcripts are identical to official ones, except that they do not bear WCFS’s seal and Registrar signature. They do bear a red stamp of the word ‘unofficial’.

Unofficial transcripts may be requested by the student or parents as needed for personal use for various purposes.

Note: Unofficial transcripts will not satisfy most college admission requirements.

Unofficial Transcript

For Non-US Schools:

Authenticated transcripts are official transcripts which receive additional ‘certificates of authenticity’ that enable them to be accepted by those international institutions that require more certification than WCFS’s seal and signature.

WCFS offers two types of authentication:

Apostille: Apostilled documents are certified at the state level (in this case, by the Maryland Secretary of State) and are accepted by the countries that are part of the 1961 Hague Apostille Convention.
The Apostille process generally takes about two to three weeks.

Attestation: Countries not on the above list often require further certification beyond the state level. This process is known as Attestation. Attested documents at first undergo a similar process as Apostilled documents, but once state certified, they go on to receive certification by the US Secretary of State, followed by certification by the Sate Department or Ministry of Foreign Affairs of their destination country at their DC embassy.
The Attestation process generally takes about two to three months.
