Christian Confession of Faith

WCFS seeks to operate its ministry based upon the statements of belief expressed below. Families who wish to participate in our program should understand that those enrolled in WCFS are expected to sincerely express their family, church and educational goals in harmony with these Christian Confessions.

We believe the Bible, Old and New Testaments, to be inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God

(2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:20-21).

We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit

(Gen. 1:2; Gen. 1:26-27; John 1:1; Matt. 28:19).

We believe in the deity of Christ (Heb. 1:3), in His virgin birth (Matt. 1:18), in His sinless life (Heb. 4:15), in His miracles (John 20:30-31), in His vicarious and atoning death (Rom. 3:21-26), in His resurrection from the dead (1 Cor. 15:12-28), in His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Acts 1:9-11), and in His personal return to power and glory (Matt. 24; Rev. 19).

We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the sinfulness of human nature; and that men are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ and that only by God's grace and through faith we are saved (Rom. 4:24; Rom. 5:12-21).

We believe that men are justified by God's grace through faith alone on the single ground of the life, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Faith is not a work but a gift of God (Eph. 2:8,9; John 1:12-13; Rom 9:15-18).

We believe in the physical resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved are saved unto the resurrection of life, and the lost are lost unto the resurrection of damnation (Dan. 12:2; John 5:25; Rev. 20).

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in Christ (Eph 1:10; 4:4; 1 Cor. 1:10—2:5; 12:12, 13).
