About 2 — Wellspring Christian Family Schools

Gary received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible with a minor in Christian Education from Washington Bible College in Lanham, Maryland.
After college, he taught math and science in both junior and senior Christian high schools for eight years. He also has ten years administrative experience in education and business.
Through his research for home instruction, Gary acquired much paralegal experience. As part of graduate work, he developed the home instruction program for Wellspring Christian Fellowship - the sponsoring church of WCFS. Gary has served as the Senior Pastor at Wellspring Christian Fellowship since 1980.
Gary enjoys carpentry and farming as family hobbies.
He and his wife Sally have been married for almost 48 years. They have 10 children, all of whom were home-instructed, and 43 grandchildren!

SUPERINTENDENT

Joel has been on staff at WCFS since 2017 and wears many hats! He serves as Administrator and High School Guidance Counselor to name a few of his many duties. He also acts as a liaison to our affiliate schools.
Joel and his wife Mikaela, are both homeschool graduates, and are currently homeschooling three of their five young children. They're active members of Wellspring Christian Fellowship.
He received a Bachelor's from Thomas Edison University, NJ, and a law degree from Oak Brook College of Law, CA. He is currently finishing his PhD from Liberty University.
Joel is an aficionado of radio drama and tries to always keep at least one audiobook in his car and one actual book on his nightstand. He also loves animals, sings ballads, and devours Ambrosia salad.

ADMINISTRATOR

Becky attended Juniata College, Shepherd College, and Shippensburg University where she received her Master's in Education.
Besides being a help to her husband and raising two sons in the Lord, Becky taught and was later principal of a Christian school.
She loves reading and shares the "hobby" of ministering to others in her home.
Becky has served and encouraged homeschool moms to love their husbands and children for over 30 years.

ACADEMIC SUPERVISOR

Donna joined WCFS in July of 2012.
She serves as WCFS's Registrar, Director of Finances and Accounting, and Event Coordinator.
A veteran homeschool mom with WCFS for 20 years, Donna's years of practical experience in the world of home instruction are an invaluable asset to our team.
Donna has 4 adult children and two grandchildren. She enjoys time and with family and friends, especially in the great outdoors.

REGISTRAR

Timothy joined WCFS in 2021.
He serves as WCFS's Maintenance Director, Community Service Coordinator, WCFS Events Speaker, and occasional Grant Writer.
Timothy is one of WCFS's first two graduates, completing our High School program in 1983. He then completed two years of Bible training at the Evangelical Institute, SC.
In 2003, Timothy and his family followed God's call to the mission field and moved to China, where they served the Chinese and Korean people until God led them to Mongolia in 2010. The Shell family then served the Mongolian community and church until February of 2020, when the Lord led them back to the United States.
Timothy and Naomi have five children and are active members of Wellspring Christian Fellowship.

MAINTENANCE DIRECTOR

Ruth joined WCFS in July of 2019.
She serves as WCFS's Administrative Secretary, Audio/Video/Web Design Technician, Director of Social Media, and Teacher's Aide.
Ruth was homeschooled through WCFS from K - 12, and graduated with the class of 2017.
Ruth enjoys good stories, history, nature, cows, photography, chess, the wild west, and outer space!

ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY

Miriam joined WCFS in September of 2021.
She serves as WCFS's facilities custodian, Ignitia guru, and executive assistant to the superintendent, Mr. Gary Cox.
Miriam was homeschooled under WCFS from K - 12, and graduated with the class of 2020.
She loves languages, art, music, reading, and especially training dogs and working with children.

IGNITIA SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Francy joined WCFS in January of 2022.
She is WCFS' affiliate records specialist, assisting our affiliate programs with their student records.
Francy was homeschooled under WCFS from K - 12, and graduated with the class of 2017.
Francy enjoys good conversations, chickens, ice skating, video editing, art and music.

AFFILIATE RECORDS SPECIALIST

Our school is operated by the Board of Wellspring Christian Fellowship which has appointed a school Advisory Board consisting of parents of enrolled or graduated students.
They oversee the financial and general development of the school.
